This is another one of those guys whose numbers can do all the talking. Before arthritis ended his career far too early all Sandy Koufax did was: win 3 Cy Young Awards (all unanimous and at a time when there was only one awarded for the entire league), pitch 4 no hitters, 2 World Series MVPs, this is a long list and the best thing to do is Google him to see everything else he did. In the end his record was a sterling 165-87 and at the tender age of 36 he became the youngest player ever elected to Cooperstown. He retired a couple years before I became a baseball fan and along with Feller and Walter Johnson tops my list of guys I would have liked to have seen play.
