The Punished Catcher

Rick Ferrell must have wondered what he did to deserve this. As a 38 year old catcher wrapping up a career that would land him in Cooperstown he was traded to the Washington Senators whose entire starting pitcher staff was made up of knuckleballers. No surprise that he led the league in passed balls, but was still elected to one of his 8 All Star teams.
