The Oldest Inductee

Here is a guy you probably don't know much about. Elmer Flick played in the early days of professional baseball, wrapping up his career in 1910. His .313 career batting average was enough to get him into Cooperstown but not until 53 years after he retired. At 87 years old, he became the oldest player to step up to the microphone and give his induction speech. I finished painting him on my 29th wedding anniversary, as the outfield sign will attest.
