The Man That Mastered The Monster

No outfield wall is more famous than Fenway's Green Monster and no one played the caroms, bounces, and unique challenges better than Yaz. Carl Yastrzemski faced heavy pressure as he began his career, that's what replacing a legend like Ted Williams will do. The fans of Boston were certainly spoiled in those years as far as left fielder went. The fact that Yastrzemski was followed by another Hall of Famer, Jim Rice, makes that position even more dear to BoSox fans hearts. His career stats are amazing; 3,308 games played, 3,419 hits, 452 HRs, 1,844 RBIs, and 18 All Star games. I love including tributes to the great shrines of baseball in my art and this is of my favorite paintings in my Hall of Fame collection.
