Another baseball great that gave up three years in his prime for military service, Enos Slaughter was a 10x All Star that set a standard for hustle that Pete Rose would be proud of. He would sprint to first after receiving a walk and famously scored from first on a base hit to score the winning run in Game seven of the 1946 World Series. I wanted a variety of images in my collection of Hall of Famer paintings, including some tributes to great moments and plays throughout history. Mays and The Catch, Fisk and the foul pole home run, George Brett getting kissed by Morgana for example. Slaughter and his Mad Dash have a solid place in memorable baseball moments.
