Only three players are in the Hall of Fame having spent their entire career in Cincinnati; Johnny Bench, Barry Larkin, and this guy, Bid McPhee. He was a second baseman known more for his fielding than his hitting, although he managed a .272 career average and 2,258 hits. He would have collected many Gold Gloves except for two facts. The award hadn't been invented yet and he played his first 14 years without a mitt. A pioneer of the game and a guy who was inducted into Cooperstown more than 100 years after his career ended.
