Hack Wilson has to go down as one of the most colorful and unique characters to be enshrined in Cooperstown. He was only 5'6 but packed a lot of power into the 195 that went along with it. He loved his late nights and alcohol, and that probably contributed to his short career, but what a career it was. In 1930 he had what many baseball nuts call the best offensive year in baseball history. All he did that year was hit .356 with a .723 slugging percentage, blast 56 home runs, and knock in an all time record 191 RBIs. One of the first guys I ever painted as part of my all time Cubs team, this little piece has a special place on my Hall of Fame collection.
