Ralph Kiner's career was too short. A back injury forced him out of the game when he was only 32 and you have to wonder what kind of numbers he would have put up if he had been healthy. I hazard a guess that 500 home runs wouldn't be out of the question. He twice hit more than 50 in a season, and this was in the 1950's when no one was putting up those numbers. He actually led the Majors in home runs for six straight seasons. Six!! He was fun to paint in the "posed follow through" stance that is popular with early baseball cards and magazines.
