Philadelphia's Beloved Ashburn

Richie Ashburn was one of the Whiz Kids that made the Phillies of the 50's one of the best teams in the league. He was a .308 lifetime batting average and a great centerfielder which made him a fan favorite. His legend grew after retirement as he entered the Phillies broadcast booth, providing dry humor and insights to the game for over 30 years. Philadelphia loves this guy and he looks great rounding third and heading for home as one of the 261 Hall of Famers I have painted.
