He finished his career with a nice round number. Although maybe not as dramatic or famous as Clemente's 3,000 career hits, Bruce Sutter retired with a then NL record 300 saves. He was the pioneer of the fork ball and the first pitcher ever inducted into the Hall of Fame without ever starting a game.
