Branch Rickey called Pie Traynor a "mechanically perfect third baseman." He played his whole career with the Pittsburgh Pirates and even though he wasn't known as a home run hitter he was a solid RBI producer. He had five straight 100 RBI years and wrapped up his career with a .320 batting average. An easy choice for the Hall of Fame voters, his place in baseball history is well earned.
