How Low Can You Go

Updated: Aug 14, 2018

Imagine a season where you started 36 games and had an ERA of 1.27. What do you think your record would be? Well, Ed Rousch had that season in 1910, and ended up with a losing record! For six seasons (1906-1912) Walsch dominated the game and it is scary to think what his numbers would be like if he had played for a better team and not suffered the injuries sustained from over-using his magnificent right arm. He entered Cooperstown with the lowest career ERA (1.82) in league history.
