Hold That Pose.....You're Out!

I love the staged "action" shots of the earl days of baseball. Here is Hall of Famer Tommy McCarthy getting nailed at second. McCarthy is credited as being the inventor of the hit and run and his strategic re-thinking of the game is probably what got him his HOF votes moreso than his career. Maybe that's why I have him being thrown out. As a side note, the guy applying the tag is Arthur Irwin, the first guy to wear a glove and member of the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame.
