We can argue til the cows come home if anyone will ever break DiMaggio's hit streak, or Rose's all time hits, or Ripken's consecutive game streak, but here is about as safe a bet as you can make; no one will ever break Charles Radbourn's record of 59 wins in a single season. That was in 1884 when he won the NL Triple Crown with 441 strikeouts and a 1.38 ERA and pitched an amazing 378.2 innings. He would end his career with 309 wins and he and his fine mustache are enshrined forever in Cooperstown.
