I've always believed that to be a good team you have to have a good shortstop. Doesn't matter if it's a slow pitch team or an MLB team. Travis Jackson was a key reason the New York Giants of the 1920's and 30's were a good team. Considered one of the best defensive shortstops of his era he was given the nickname Stonewall and he also batted a tidy .291 over his career.
