It's hard to decide which was more impressive, Carl Hubbell's major league record of 24 straight wins from 1936 and 1937, or his striking out of five future Hall of Famers in a row at the 1934 All Star game. Other things to throw in the mix would be his 18 inning complete game shutout and the fact that DiMaggio called him the toughest pitcher he ever faced.
