He won 326 games and 3 World Series so its easy to see why Eddie Plank is considered one of baseball's greatest pitchers but he also had his share of bad luck. He started 6 World Series games and pitched brilliantly with a 1.32 ERA but lost 4 of those games, plus another in a relief role. His final World Series game was a complete game 1-0 loss. History would repeat itself in the final regular season game of his career when he lost another complete game, this one a 1-0 11 inning loss to fellow Hall of Famer Walter Johnson.
