THE STORY

It was the year 2006 when Gord Schmidt, aka Mr Cub, painted his hero Ernie Banks. Next he went on to paint some of his favorite Chicago Cubs players yet he didn't feel like he was finished. Gord decided then and there that he would paint every player in the Baseball Hall of Fame. One, three, or four at a time, he would pull names from a lunchbox, matching the names to blank canvases, he started the seemingly overwhelming task of painting 252 players, one brush stroke at a time.
Almost a decade later, his dream became a reality.

Now, Gord is proud to share his love of baseball and the history of the great game with sports fans and art lovers everywhere!
